Quinn Gianoli ’24

When did you know Cathedral was perfect for you?

Gianoli: Freshman football, and making new friends. When I started feeling comfortable with the new freshman class because I came from such a small school.

 

What has been your favorite part of your high school career?

Gianoli: Swim season has been fun to hangout with some seniors, I’ve loved the opportunities to mentor underclassmen.

 

What have you all been involved with?

Gianoli: Freshman student officer, football, liturgy committee, mathleague, stuco, mock trial, front desk person, swim team, ICMN, many more

 

What has been your favorite?

Gianoli: Opening assemblies, it is super nerve racking like knees shaking but it is so much fun and I love building school spirit.

 

Which teacher have you made the best connection with?

Gianoli: I try my best to make a connection with every teacher. I would say Mrs. Wheeler, she was my freshman year English teacher, she helped teach me how to not be an idiot, I loved wheeler Wednesdays and I got more out of class about how to be a human than English.

 

Favorite extracurricular activity outside of school?

Gianoli: Playing ultimate frisbee. I love the opportunity to get outdoors at any opportunity.

 

What is your taste in music?

Gianoli: Folk, granola music and lots of slow music. Enjoy every second, and stay in the moment.

 

Who was your top artist?

Gianoli: Caamp, my girlfriend introduced me to them, and now I’m addicted.

 

Top songs?

Gianoli: Light, by Caamp, or Apple Tree Blues also by Caamp.

 

What is a weird fact about you most people don’t know?

Gianoli: My ankle can’t go out in the breaststroke kick. 

 

If you were on death row… what would your last meal be?

Gianoli: Thin mint girl scout cookies. And fair life whole milk.

 

How did you come about loving your favorite color?

Gianoli: A color I can always go to for comfort is moss green, it reminds me of nature and is always there for me.

 

Top travel destination?

Gianoli: I wanna go to the gates of the arctic in Alaska, no trials just all alone in nature.

 

Future aspiration for work?

Gianoli: Right now looking at civil engineering, something I’m not stuck in an office. I’d love to be able to move around.

 

Ideal state to live in?

Gianoli: Minnesota, Boundary waters. I have a lot of family, it’s the most beautiful state.

 

Dream car?

Gianoli: Green Toyota Tacoma.

 

If you could time travel to one place in time where?

Gianoli: I would go back and become a millionaire from betting.

 

What is the most valuable superpower?

Gianoli: Telekinesis, you could just mess with people and make them go crazy.

 

What is the most valuable character trait?

Gianoli: A positive mindset. With this you can make it through anything.

 

Did you enjoy being the one interviewed?

Gianoli: Yes, it’s a good change of pace.
