What is your favorite Cathedral memory? 

Hughes – My favorite Cathedral memory was the lip sync battle our junior year. I got to do it with all my best friends, we won. It was amazing.

What is something that makes you smile?

Hughes – My little sister, Lydia. 

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? 

Hughes – I would love to go to Greece. 

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? 

Hughes – I would love to be able to fly. 

If you won a million dollars, what would you do with it? 

Hughes – I would buy a big beach house for my entire family. I would donate half of it to a charity. 

What do you love about playing softball and soccer? 

Hughes – I like being on a team and community of people who are working towards the same goal as I am. 

What is your ideal dinner?

Hughes – A Brazilian Steakhouse. A plate of steak, potatoes, and chicken.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Hughes – Loud breathers.

What’s a skill that you have that is admirable? 

Hughes – I am hardworking in school and sports. 

What is your dream school? 

Hughes – Notre Dame

What is your dream profession? 

Hughes – Chemical engineering 

What is the most valuable lesson you have ever learned? 

Hughes – To find joy in every aspect of life. 

What advice would you give to your younger self? 

Hughes – To not be so quiet, to branch out. 

What do you hope the next five years look like? 

Hughes – I hope I get into a college that I really love and that I have a great time. I also hope to get a job, and overall be happy. And of course, to have a good time. 

If you could learn any language, what would it be? 

Hughes – Spanish, because it would be most applicable in my life. 

If you could own any animal, what would it be? 

Hughes – A reindeer 

What are you most passionate about?

Hughes – Softball, I have played for 12 years and have loved it. I have devoted a large portion of my time to it. 

What is your “sacred space” on Cathedral’s campus?

Hughes – The counselors office, I love being able to have them there and utilize them as support. 

What is something your friends love about you? 

Hughes – My friends love how caring and hard working I am. My friends can always count on me to support them and care for them when they need me. They also love how hard working I am and recognize my work ethic. 

What does your perfect weekend look like? 

Hughes – A weekend trip to the lake, with my friends. I would love to go on the boat and tube, eat some good food and be surrounded by my favorite people.
