At the end of a timeout, Head Coach Mr. Jason Delaney gives instructions to his team, which would go on to beat Brebeuf Jesuit 63-61 in overtime.

The men’s basketball team holds a 5-1 record as of Dec. 12. With wins against Brebeuf Jesuit on Dec. 3 and Warren Central on Dec. 10, the team is ranked third in IndyStar’s AP poll.

The team is led by senior and Eastern Kentucky commit Tayshaun Comer, who scored a season-high 31 points in the team’s win against Covington (Kentucky) Catholic on Dec. 11. Also contributing were senior and Murray State commit Jaxon Edwards as well as juniors Xavier Booker, Jaron Tibbs, Jake Davis and Sincere Germany. Freshman Lebron Gough has also played a key role, especially defensively.

Upcoming: In the Hall of Fame Classic in New Castle on Dec. 30, the team will face Fort Wayne Homestead in a rematch of last season’s overtime thriller. They will face national powerhouse La Lumiere on Jan. 1.
