At the Expo Bowl on the Southeast side, members of the men’s bowling team huddle before the match against New Palestine, which the team won, with the Irish setting school records in team game and team series scores.

On Dec. 8, the men’s bowling team overcame a 7-3 deficit to defeat New Palestine 13-7. In that match, they set two school records with a 1,089 team game and a 2,026 team series, scores which were among the highest in the conference for the entire season.

Alec Irwin shot a 256 game against New Palestine, a personal best for him. Nicholas Rodecap shot a 453 series over two games (226.5 average), also a personal best for him. Both Irwin’s game and Rodecap’s series were second highest in the conference. Charlie Schenck has made the all-conference team and Antonio Arroyo also finished in the Top 10. Schenck’s 215.69 average is the third-highest in the conference, and both him and the team are expected to make a postseason run.

The team is sitting at a 7-2 record as of Dec. 10 with 16,376 pins and 124.5 points on the season.

Upcoming: The position round and final regular season match will take place Dec. 15 versus New Palestine, with the singles Sectional event on Jan. 5 and team event on Jan. 8, all of which will be at Strike Force Lanes in Greenfield.
