When did you become a teacher?
Jamell: Fall of 2021 was my first year, so three years.
Why did you become a teacher?
Jamell: I wanted to do something surrounding Catholic faith and I was not happy anymore working in a startup. I needed a change of pace.
Do you have any pets?
Jamell: I have a dog named Savonis.
Why did you name your daughter Rory?
Jamell: Because the three acceptable names to me are biblical, Irish, and saints and Rory is an old Irish name.
What’s your favorite sport to watch?
Jamell: I would have to say football. My favorite team is Colts or Pacers.
What’s your best golf round?
Jamell: My best 18 is a 77 at Woodwind.
What’s your favorite golf course you’ve played?
Jamell: Maple Creek is my favorite as a home place the coolest is The Pfau at IU.
What’s your dream vacation?
Jamell: Probably a tour of more important places in European history.
What’s your dream place to live?
Jamell: If I were to live somewhere else besides here it would be Hilton head.
What’s your favorite genre of music?
Jamell: Classic country or bluegrass or great American song.
Who’s your favorite artist?
Jamell: I would say Billy Joel.
What’s your favorite memory you have teaching?
Jamell: I think one of the best things was my second year coming back to school seeing the kids I taught before and seeing their excitement and seeing the impact I had.
If you could have a superpower what would it be?
Jamell: The ability to commit books to memory really really fast.
What’s the weirdest food combo you enjoy?
Jamell: I like pepperoni and mustard sandwiches.
If you could swap lives with a teacher who would it be?
Jamell: Mr. Fogel so I don’t have to teach any classes.
What’s your favorite bible story?
Jamell: I would say the one I enjoy the most is the nativity story.
Most treasured possession?
Jamell: I would probably say my books or my records.
Favorite restaurant?
Jamell: I love Mama Carollas or more casual Blind Owl.
Something on your bucket list?
Jamell: To visit Rome and the holy land.
