Senior, Sofia Foley combined two of her passions, fashion and art, to create a clothing brand. Last year, Foley started making vinyl and bleach painted sweatshirts for her friends and family. Once she started to get some good feedback, she decided she could make something out of this.

Foley started her website, www.sosostyless.com and she started selling her designs through that link.

Foley has a specific endgame in mind when she created the business. “The goal is to make fashion creative again, letting the customer develop their own custom clothing to express themselves more! Our brand strives for uniqueness, aiming to make each piece special in its own way.

She is very creative and has always had a drive to pursue art, especially drawing. Because of this, she was super eager to start up Sosostyles, Foley says “I have always loved art and clothing, so last year I started making vinyl and bleach painted sweatshirts for my friends and family. A lot of people really liked them, so I recently decided why not make a brand,” said Foley.

Her passion started when she was very young. “Since I was a kid I always loved drawing, painting, really anything creative. I also loved fashion and getting to make my own things to wear so I thought why not combine them! I admired the freedom I got to have with my closet and how I got to create something I actually wanted to wear,” Foley said.

She hopes to continue and grow these skills after she graduates. Foley said, “Yes! I plan to major in business and marketing. I hope to continue my brand in college and to make a future off of it”

Foley goes on to explain her love for creating something that someone else will enjoy. She describes her drive for allowing a creative background from her customers as well. She enjoys being able to see her consumers’ personalities shining through when they design their own peace or have some ideas.
