Irish Adrenaline closed out its official competition season with two major performances at Plainfield on February 14 and Center Grove on February 21. The team brought its competition set BraveHearts to the stage both weekends, earning top placements and special awards. What seemed like the end of the season has now turned into one final opportunity to compete.
At Plainfield, which marked the team’s third competition of the season, Irish Adrenaline was named Grand Champion. The group also took home best vocals and best choreography, making it one of the most successful performances of the year. Erica Davis ‘26 was recognized as Best performer and Best Soloist for her performance in the set.
“I am so proud of what we accomplished at Plainfield,” Davis said. “Winning Grand Champion meant so much to us because we have worked on BraveHearts since the summer. It really showed how much we have grown together as a team.”
The following weekend at Center Grove, Irish Adrenaline continued its strong run. The team placed first runner up and earned Best Visuals for its performance quality and staging. Sophie Miller ‘26 was named Best Performer, highlighting the depth of talent across the senior class. In solo competition, Sam Funk ‘26 was named first runner up, adding another major title to the program’s season
For many team members, Center Grove felt like the official wrap up of months of rehearsals, bus rides, and Saturday competitions. As a first year member, Jules Payne ‘29 said, “This season has been such an amazing experience for me. Being a part of this team and performing BraveHearts has helped me grow so much, and I am really thankful for the seniors who have led us.”
Although Center Grove marked the final originally scheduled competition, the season is not over yet. Irish Adrenaline has officially added one more stop to its schedule. The team will travel to Brownsburg on March 14 to perform BraveHearts one last time.
The added competition gives seniors another opportunity to take the stage together and allows the team to end the season on their own terms. As the final countdown begins, the group hopes Cathedrals staff and students will come out to support them!
“We are not done yet,” Davis said. “Brownsburg is our last chance to leave everything on stage, and we want to finish this season stronger than ever.”
