Madison Turner ’28 takes the value of Excellence to golf sectionals at Maple Creek on Monday September 22nd for the 2025 season.
Back on the green for her 3rd year of golf, countless drives, and endless determination, Madison is preparing for the high stakes of sectionals. She takes the value of excellence onto the par with her to lead her to victory.

A sophomore at Cathedral High School and 3-year varsity starter for golf, Madison Turner said, “I think excellence in the sectionals tournament is going to show up in how focused and consistent I can be on the course. For me, it’s not about playing perfect but about keeping a good mindset, bouncing back from mistakes, and giving my best effort every hole. I’ve been preparing by practicing my short game, working on accuracy, and also making sure I stay patient and confident even if things don’t go the way I want.”
Madison Turner’s mindset highlights that true excellence on the golf course goes beyond technical skill. She understands that success in sectionals is not measured by perfection but by focus, consistency, and resilience. She dedicates time to perfecting her short game and improving accuracy, while also prioritizing patience and confidence, even when rounds don’t go as planned. This approach demonstrates that her pursuit of excellence is as much about mental strength as it is about physical skill.
Her dedication is evident not only in her personal performance but also in the way she supports her teammates. Throughout the season, Madison has faced challenging courses and tough competition, yet she approaches each round with the same steady determination. Her ability to stay calm, learn from mistakes, and maintain confidence under pressure reflects positively on the golf course. For Madison, excellence isn’t simply about winning; it’s about consistently striving to do her best and embracing challenges.
Madison Turner said, “I want to show excellence by playing hard and carrying myself well as both a teammate and a competitor.”
