Girls Basketball Program Pink Out
Fans are encouraged to attend the home game wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Flyers have been posted around the school to notify students and staff that on January 24 the girls basketball team will face Carmel for the last home game of their 2022-23 season.
The game will follow the theme, Pink Out. The flyer states “Pink out for Breast Cancer is designed to help raise awareness for those battling breast cancer and other cancers that affect females”
The flyer included important information to note about this deviating disease such as “1 in 8 (13%) U.S. women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in her lifetime.”
To help drive student attendance for the game, there will be T-shirts given to the first 25 students and several “Pink Ribbon Connections” Giveaways.
JV tips off at 6 PM and Varsity follows at 7:30. The Varsity team currently sits at 9-12 and drew a bye for the first round of Sectionals.
