In a meeting with his team during Nov. 22 flex time, men’s soccer Head Coach Mr. Paul Schroeder announced that he is resigning his coaching position but plans to stay at Cathedral as a teacher.

Schroeder cited the demands of being a head coach as well as the need to continue to constantly make connections to youth and club soccer teams. In an email, Schroeder wrote, “I have decided to step down and let the school find someone new to lead the boys’ soccer program.”

Schroeder also said that he expects to continue his involvement in Cathedral soccer at some level, “whether that is as an assistant coach or helping in other ways (that) will need to be decided after a new coach is hired.”
