Women’s basketball tryouts scheduled
Two required after-school sessions are Oct. 21-22
Tryouts for this season’s women’s basketball teams will be Oct. 21 and Oct. 22. During a regular season game last year, varsity players receive instruction during a timeout.
Freshman, junior varsity and varsity women’s basketball tryouts will take place Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Mimms Gymnasium.
According to Assistant Coach Mrs. Megan Schmidt, those players who have been committed to the team’s preseason and summer workouts should try out. Girls should wear a Cathedral T-shirt, basketball shorts and basketball shoes.
In an email, Schmidt wrote that participants should plan to spend both days trying out and will do for the full period of time.
Coaches will make the final cut for the freshman, JV and varsity teams after the two days of tryouts, Schmidt said.
