With Christmas break fast approaching, there is a limited number of Irish athletic events during the week of Dec. 18.

The men’s and women’s bowling teams are in action at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Woodland Point, take part in position round matches.

The freshman and junior varsity wrestling teams travel to Portland for the Jay County Invite, which gets underway at 9 a.m. on Dec. 22.

The women’s varsity basketball team plays Trotwood (Ohio) on Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Manual Showcase at Emmerich Manual High School, 2405 S. Madison Ave. The next day at 4:30 p.m., the men’s basketball team plays Fort Wayne North at the same event.
