Yackelin is a sophomore reporter for the Irish Connection Media Network. Yackelin is interested in telling stories about important upcoming events and dates. When not covering stories for Cathedral, Yackelin enjoys reading, tennis, going on walks, and spending time with family and friends. Yackelin hopes to pursue a major in business at IU Indianpolis.

The sophomores participated in a balloon activity, competing against another group. The teams competing against each other are attempting to clear all the balloons from their section, and get them on the opponent's side in order to win. Sophomore Daphne Hernandez said, “I really enjoyed the sophomore unity activities. They were very team engaging and a fun experience.I especially liked the guest speaker since he was very well spoken and enthusiastic.”

Both senior students congratulated on winning the Black History Makers of Tomorrow award for their values of entrepreneurship and community involvement. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and other Disney characters wave to all the students below. Santa spent the entire afternoon talking to the Enlace kiddos in front of the Mary wall in the Innovation Center. Mrs. Claus read stories in the library when she wasn't sitting with Santa, and the Disney characters walked around bringing joy to every kid.
