Shutdown allows early start on Innovation Center
Absence of students, staff and visitors aids progress on project

Instead of construction on the Innovation Center being pushed back further due to the unprecedented conditions that COVID-19 has caused, Chief Operating Officer Mr. Rolly Landeros said, “We are taking advantage of having limited staff and students on campus so more construction work can be done earlier than originally planned.”
COVID-19 has pushed the timeline for construction to be moved up two to three weeks. Landeros said, “We are still proceeding with the construction of the Innovation Center, but we’ll start May 26.”
Despite concerns that COVID-19 would have negative effects on the construction for the Innovation Center, the work on the building now will start earlier than planned.
