Principal provides information about schedule change
Four days of eLearning each week will provide needed break
The school administration has shared additional information regarding the change in the eLearning schedule that will be in effect when classes resume on April 6 after spring break.
The Academic Innovation Team, made up of teachers and administrators, decided to implement this new, more consistent schedule in order to “find a balance between continuing our high quality education and the emotional and physical well-being of students and teachers,” Principal Mrs. Julie Barthel said.
She added that the administration liked the idea of only two consecutive days of eLearning during most weeks, what she called “a day to catch your breath and spend time with family and then two more days of eLearning and (then) another break.”
Barthel said that the administration believes that this new schedule helps support the school’s Holy Cross core value of educating hearts and minds. She also said, (“The schedule will) help teachers and students have a balance of work and family time. Our mission is to transform students socially, spiritually, physically, emotionally and academically. We hope this schedule helps us achieve our holistic mission.”
