Annual Day of Service set for Sept. 13
Event provides assistance to numerous local organizations
On Sept. 13, students will participate in Day of Service in order to give back to the community.
Administrator for Christian Service Mrs. Shannon Farrell Fox ‘80 said, “Service Day was started in response to Cathedral’s birthday. Our first year was in 2012. It’s to give back to our community in honor of Cathedral’s birthday.”
Fox also said that she wants students to make sure that they participate in Day of Service activities. “I wish students would realize the importance of what it is versus taking college days or doctor visits,” she said.
Day of Service is organized by the county system, as different groups visit places all over the metro area in order to volunteer their time and complete service work.
