Women’s basketball to take on Tech in Sectional
All games will be played in the Welch Activity Center

Head Coach Mrs. Reggen Melson’s varsity women’s basketball team will open Class 4A Sectional play on xxx against xxx. All games in the seven-team Sectional will be played in the Welch Activity Center.
The Sectional pairings:
Tuesday, Jan. 29 (Sectional, first round): North Central vs. Warren Central
Wednesday, Jan. 30 (Sectional, first round): Cathedral vs. Arsenal Tech; Heritage Christian vs. Lawrence Central
Friday, Feb. 1 (Sectional semifinals): Winner of the North Central-Warren Central game vs. Lawrence North; winner of Cathedral-Tech vs. Heritage Christian-Lawrence Central
Saturday, Feb. 2 (Sectional finals): The two winners of the Feb. 1 semifinals will play for the Sectional title.
Athletics Director Mr. Rick Streiff noted that as far knows, this marks the first time in the history of Cathedral that the school has hosted a women’s basketball Sectional.
Because these are tournament games, Cathedral students should note that their school ID will not give him admission into the game. Students will need to buy a ticket at the door.
