Spring mission trip callout meeting is Jan. 15
Students, parents invited to session in SLC
Students interested in participating in the spring mission trip to South Carolina are encouraged to attend a callout on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Shiel Student Life Center.
According to Mrs. Shannon Fox ’80, parents also are welcome to learn more about the annual trip to Johns Island, where students will participate in a build with Habitat for Humanity, complete home repair projects for the elderly and work with students at Frierson Elementary School.
This spring’s trip, which is limited to 75 students, allows participants to fulfill their community service hour requirement for the entire year. Students having completed this current 2018-2019 requirement by the trip date of March 30th may use the trip for the 2019-2020 service requirement.
Application and $150 deposit may be submitted at the Jan. 15 meeting. Applications can be found on the Christian Service webpage or in Fox’s office. Checks are to be made payable to Cathedral High School.
