Athletics Director Mr. Rick Streiff has released the athletic schedule for the week of Jan. 7. Key home events are listed, with the complete schedule available on the athletics website.

Jan. 7: The women’s varsity basketball team hosts Herron in the Welch Activity Center at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the City tournament. The men’s freshman basketball team hosts Brebeuf Jesuit in the auxiliary gym at 6 p.m.

Jan. 8: The women’s JV basketball team hosts the City tournament in the Welch Activity Center at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m. should it win the opening round on Monday, playing the winner of Cardinal Ritter and Howe.

Jan. 9: The JV bowling team will play at Hindel Bowl at 3:40 p.m. The JV and varsity wrestling teams will host Perry Meridian at 6 p.m. in the Welch Activity Center.

Jan. 10: The women’s JV and varsity basketball team will host the City tournament. If the Irish won games earlier in the tournament, the JV women will play at 4:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym and the varsity will follow at 6 p.m. in the Welch Activity Center.

Jan. 11: The championship game of the women’s JV and varsity City basketball tournament will be played at 6 and 7:30 p.m. in the Welch Activity Center.

Jan. 12: The varsity bowling team begins the Sectional tournament at 9 a.m.
