Face Off: The best Christmas movie is ‘Home Alone’
The Christmas holiday is based in traditions, and nothing is more classic than the ’90s film “Home Alone.” The movie features relatable characters, hilarious comedy and a Guinness World Record for highest grossing live-action comedy in the United States.
Although statistically the film is a clear success, the undeniable winning point is the ending few scenes, in which Kevin defeats the robbers with ingenius traps. Unlike other common Christmas movies like “Elf,” the plot is not saturated with unnecessary romances and family drama. These unnecessary and overused plots distract from the Christmas spirit with their depressing reminders of the negative points of Christmas.
Instead, the movie offers a straightforward story of a boy left home alone for Christmas.
