Annual mission trip scheduled for fall break
Students, chaperones headed to North Carolina
Mrs. Shannon Fox ’80, who coordinated this year’s event, is set to head out with 75 students and several chaperones for the annual fall mission trip.
The trip lasts four days and will take place from Oct. 24 through Oct. 28. The 75 students “will travel to Black Mountain, North Carolina. It’s very small and a poor section of town,” Fox said. The trip will consist of many activities, including visiting “crisis help centers, feeding the homeless, donating food, and clothes donations,” Fox said.
The concept of the fall mission trip was inspired by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and hits close to home with the recent tragedy of Hurricane Michael.
