Numerous school groups, such as the Black Student Union, shown meeting last year, will have information available at the annual student activities far.

If you’re looking for a new activity or want to meet some new people, the annual student activities fair will take place in the Welch Activity Center on Sept. 6 during flex. In addition to staples like Math League, where students may receive bonus points in exchange for correct math answers, Mr. Anthony Ernst, director of student activities, wrote in an email that new groups including Photography Club and Irish Investors Club also will have information available for prospective members.

Freshmen should note that they are required to attend so that they might be able to “identify some interests and connect with some students already involved,” wrote Ernst. In addition, sophomores are encouraged to participate, so that they also might branch out and discover new activities from last year.

If specialized clubs are not your idea of fun, student government, service groups and competitive academic teams are also options.
