As May approaches, it seems one thing is one seniors’ minds: graduation. The ceremony that awards seniors with diplomas is to take place on May 20. What students have not known, though, is who would be the faculty member who would address them.

A teacher traditionally gives a farewell speech, both congratulating students on their achievement giving a hopeful message for the future. To select this speaker, seniors are sent a list of every teacher, vote for their favorite to narrow the field and then select the speaker out of the Top t.

This year, the Class of 2018 has elected AP Psychology teacher and track Head Coach Mr. John O’Hara to be the keynote speaker.

O’Hara did not immediately reply to a reporter’s email requesting comment.
