As the spring sports season gets into full swing, Irish nights become busier than ever. In this as rest as upcoming athletic schedules, the Megaphone will emphasize the most prominent sporting events, and then provide a link to a complete list of all athletic contests.

March 26: The varsity baseball team opens its season by traveling to Noblesville for a 6 p.m. contest. The varsity softball team looks to follow up on an impressive win over Carmel by competing against Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to be at Lutheran but has been changed to take place on the Hill.

March 27: The men’s volleyball team travels down Kessler Avenue to take on rival Bishop Chatard at 7 p.m. The men’s varsity lacrosse team welcomes Illinois powerhouse New Trier for a contest starting at 7 p.m. Men’s varsity golf opens up the season against Roncalli and Zionsville at the Sagamore golf course starting at 4 p.m.

March 28: The varsity track and field team competes in a meet at Brebeuf Jesuit starting at 5 p.m. Women’s varsity tennis kicks off its season with its first match at Hamilton Southeastern at 5 p.m. For its home opener at its new home field, he men’s varsity baseball team welcomes Scecina to Brunette Park for a 5:30 p.m. contest. Women’s varsity lacrosse prepares for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with Hamilton Southeastern at Cathedral.

March 31: Both varsity baseball and softball play twice, competing against two notable opponents. Head Coach Mr. Ed Freije ‘99 and the Irish travel to Center Grove for contests against Roncalli (1:30 p.m.) and Center Grove (4 p.m.) Softball will welcome Scecina (11 a.m.) and Chatard (1 p.m.) to the Hill for their doubleheader.
