The Irish spring athletic season continues its slow approach, bringing new excitement to the Hill. The only events of the week involve men’s and women’s track and field and the season opener for the men’s volleyball team.

March 9: Men’s and women’s track and field runs in the Hoosier State Relays qualifier at Whiteland Community. The meet starts at 5:30 p.m. Men’s volleyball starts the season by welcoming Geurin Catholic into the WAC. JV starts at 6 p.m. followed by varsity at 7:30 p.m.

March 10: The men’s volleyball looks to continue its start to the season with multiple games in the Pre-St. Patrick’s Day invite. The JV tournament begins at 8 a.m. in the Welch Activity Center, with the varsity tournament starting at 2 p.m. The Irish will take on Chesterton, Carmel and North Central as a part of their pool play.

No events are scheduled March 5, March 6, March 7 or March 8.
