The week of Feb. 12 to Feb. 16 will be a competitive one for Irish athletics, with no event perhaps more important than the Irish wrestlers in the State Finals. Also, the men’s freshman basketball team starts the City tournament, men’s swimming and diving competes in the with Sectional and the men’s basketball team takes on state-ranked Ben Davis in the WAC.

Feb. 15: The men’s freshman basketball team begins the City tournament at home at 6 p.m. The men’s swimming and diving team kicks off the Sectional at 6 p.m. at North Central.

Feb. 16: The Irish wrestlers battle for a State title, with the opening round starting at 6 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The men’s JV and varsity basketball teams take on Ben Davis at home at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 17: The wrestling State Finals resume at 10 a.m. The men’s swimming and diving team competes in the Sectional finals at 9:30 a.m. at North Central. The men’s freshmen basketball team looks to capture a City title as it competes in the semifinals at 10 a.m. and the finals at noon. To conclude this busy day, the men’s JV and varsity basketball teams travel to Fort Wayne Snider for games at 6 and 7:30 p.m.
