Students sell more than 22,000 raffle tickets
Most funds will go toward tuition support
According to chemistry teacher Mr. Howard Fogel, who also serves as the philanthropy mission team moderator, this year students sold around 22,500 tickets for the Luck of the Leprechaun raffle, the draw for which occurred during halftime of the varsity football Homecoming game on Sept. 23 against Jeffersonville.
According to Fogel, senior Rachel Overstreet sold the most tickets.
The top selling organizations included, in order of sales: Hurricane Harvey Relief, band, football, choir, women’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s soccer, baseball, men’s lacrosse and women’s cross-country. On each ticket they sold, students could designate a team, club or organization that would receive funds.
