The challenge has been set to grow school spirit. The challenge that the leprechauns came up with has to do with finding a mini leprechaun. Each month, the school leprechauns, Issy Cadwell and Clare Meschi, will hide a tiny toy leprechaun for students to find somewhere throughout the school. Students must go to the leprechauns instagram page if they want a clue, where they will post hints throughout the month in order to help students advance in their mission.
The first clue of the month as said by Isabela Cadwell was “find the teacher who was baptized in a plastic box, and they are located in Kelly Hall.” Once you find this teacher, you will be indicated onto the next clue, getting you one hint closer to the mini leprechaun.
If there are no students who end up finding the mini leprechaun within the first week of its initial start, Issy and Clare will continue to post weekly hints. Issy and Clare will continue to post clues until it is found or the month is over. In order to find some of the hints they have posted, you will need to go to their Instagram page, cathedral_leps and check their highlights for any clues that have gone out.
If you find the hidden mini leprechaun, you’re going to need to take a picture of the mini leprechaun and tag their account before posting it to your story in order to win the challenge. Whoever finds the mini leprechaun by the end of the month, wins a prize. The prize for this month is a Johnny Mac’s gift card with a balance of 25 dollars.
This challenge was created for the sake of entertainment, with hope of luring in school spirit, energy and fun in the process. One of the goals from this hunt is for students to engage themselves outside their classrooms. This is a fun way for students to roam the building and piece clues together with their friends, as they walk and takes steps closer to the mini leprechaun.
Meschi said, “I think this small challenge is a great chance for Cathedral students to build anticipation and excitement. I hope students will learn to get involved, and hopefully this small game is something students will look forward to.”
