The Cathedral Softball team has never won a state championship, but after last year’s success, they are inching closer with every at bat.

Brownlow and Beeson pose for a picture after Saturday’s meet where they qualified for the 2025 Nationals Speech and Debate Tournament. The Tournament will be held from June 15 to June 20 in Des Moines, Iowa. Brownlow said, “During the summer I will continue practicing my speech, incorporating performative elements as well that will help my speech resonate more with my audience. Most importantly, however, I want to approach each round and day with a fresh and new perspective, regardless of what happened the day or round before.”

Their hard work has earned them full tuition to Holy Cross College, marking a momentous achievement for both students and the Cathedral High school community.

New Look. Familiar Results
Prema unveils their liveries for their first season in the NTT Indycar season. As expected, they stick to their iconic red, green, and white color that has been with the team since their founding in 1983.
Indycar is Back and Better Than Ever
Senior Regina Jones ‘25 stands next to David Shelton 25’ from Warren Central High School as they are on WISHTV.COM after receiving an award. Both senior students congratulated on winning the Black History Makers of Tomorrow award for their values of entrepreneurship and community involvement. Regina Jones said, “I am honored to win this award and I'm excited to continue that legacy in the future”.

Historic Season Continues
The Golden Paddle Invitational has been narrowed down to two; Class of 2026 Braden Mann and Class of 2025 Nick Whitley. The championship match will be played to at the beginning of the Faith Fest Assembly. Junior Braden Mann said, “I can’t wait for the final after I’ve just missed the last two years. I’ve been ready for a chance to win and for my walkout to the table.”
Battle on the Tables
Quarterback Cameron Koers drops back for a pass against North Central. Koers throughout the regular season has 10 passing touchdowns with a 60% completion rate. Koers said “Our regular season has been a good season but we’re looking forward to more success in the postseason.”

Cathedral defeats Roncalli on October 11th, 2024. The rivalry game was recognized as the NFL Crucial Catch game to raise awareness of cancer research and funcing.
