Students and staff as a whole were already aware that Cathedral was the best Catholic school but last week it was made official.
For the past few weeks there was a nationwide poll from a website called Sock Religious by Catholic Concepts allowing anyone to vote on over 900 catholic schools. Out of those 900 schools, Cathedral High School was voted the best winning the award of Best Official Catholic School.
The award was presented during Winterfest which happened to fall during Catholic Schools Week. Winterfest is not just a week for dressing down but also a week to show school pride, but to also have fun, come together as a school and a community, and to celebrate our faith.
President Robert Bridges said, “It’s a neat award because it was won during Winterfest. We got the call during the actual assembly and even though it’s not a scientific poll, it still shows people love us and our school.”
