Join the Cathedral hockey team this Friday for Hat Trick for the Homeless! This event began seven years ago and is held this Friday at 8 p.m. at the Fishers Fuel Tank against Hamilton Southeastern.
Becky Bedich, mother of senior Jack Bedich wrote, “Hat Trick for the Homeless is a charity hockey event that began 7 years ago. The high school hockey team consisting of Cathedral players Jack Bedich (Team Captain), Joey Konesco, Max Engel, Grant Goodburn, Charles McCormick are involved with it.”
This event will help benefit St. Vincent DePaul. She wrote, “A “Hat trick” in hockey is when a player gets 3 goals in a game. The fans then throw their hats onto the ice in celebration! This tradition has led to helping others in need. The players advertise the game to collect hats and mittens and donate them to St. Vincent DePaul.”
All are invited to this opportunity to do good in the community. Senior and team captain Jack Bedich wrote, “This charity event allows our rivalry against HSE to be put on hold to help the community. We hope to get a big crowd at the rink on Friday to cheer us on and bring their donation of hats and mittens.”
The hockey team invites you and your friends and family to join them this Friday! Bring your hats and mittens to help the homeless this winter.
