Cathedral volleyball has named its new women’s head volleyball coach. Dee Dee Galligher, who has served as the program’s assistant freshman coach, has been elevated to the head varsity position. She replaces long-time Head Coach Ms. Jean Kesterson, whose Irish teams won seven State titles.

According to information released by Athletics Director Mr. Doug Seagrave, Galligher is a familiar face at Cathedral; she has participated in the assistant coaching role for a few years and has worked at Camp Cathedral as well.

Galligher’s coaching experience includes stints at Lawrence North, Pike and University high schools.
