Deadline to buy prom tickets is April 15
Event will take place at Crane Bay
All juniors and seniors are now able to purchase tickets for the prom on April 23, which will be held at the Crane Bay Event Center from 7:30 to 11 p.m.
The deadline for buying tickets is April 15.
Tickets are available for $65 a person. This price will include dinner and dessert, and dinner will include a vegetarian option.
All students looking to attend prom this year should buy their tickets before the deadline, according to Mrs. Lisa Blamey, the prom co-moderator. All tickets must be bought online at gocathedral.com/prom. Blamey emailed a link to all seniors and juniors.
Prom provides an opportunity for upperclassmen to spend a night out at a school organized event and for seniors this is the last dance they can attend in their high school career. Often, students will bring classmates as dates for prom, but this year students will also have the opportunity to bring dates from other schools, but they must meet specific requirements and the ticket buying process is a little different. “They have to fill out a guest form that (may be picked up) in student services,” Blamey said.
This year’s theme is “Las Vegas” and formal prom pictures will not be taken at the event. Students should plan to take pictures before the event and make sure to arrange their own transportation for the night, as school buses from campus to the prom venue, which was a prom tradition for many years, will not be an option.
