The women’s varsity basketball team, under the direction of Head Coach Mrs. Lisa Finn, was scheduled to open Class 4A Sectional tournament play on Feb. 2 against Lawrence Central at 6 p.m.

However, due the winter storm warning, that game has been postponed to Friday, Feb. 4. If the Irish win, they would play in the Sectional semifinal on Saturday, Feb. 5 against the winner of the North Central-Crispus Attucks game. The Sectional championship would be played Tuesday, Feb. 8, with all Sectional games taking place at Warren Central.

The Irish, this year’s City tournament champions, enter the Sectional with a 14-9 record.
