Members will meet on Jan. 31 after school
Members of the the Fishing Club will meet on Jan. 31 for students to have an opportunity to create their own spinner bait.
According to the emailed student newsletter, students are invited to join the club for this meeting. The newsletter stated, “(The club is) meeting on Jan. 31 in Room 4310 at 3:25 p.m. We will be creating a spinner bait from scratch, starting with pouring lead into a mold, painting the jig head, adding blades and skirts. There are enough for the first 25 students. Please contact Mr. (Dustin) Land with any questions.”
Information regarding all clubs can be found on the school website. According to that site, “The Fishing Club is for angling enthusiasts. We spend club time building lures (two to three) times a semester and going on fishing trips locally twice a month during fishing weather months.”
Because he is involved in the senior retreat on Jan. 26, Jan. 27 and Jan. 28, the club moderator, Mr. Land, was unavailable for comment.
