Season highlights: Juniors Dearbhla Delaney, Brooke Wojcieszek, Maddie Taylor and Catherine Holtrup have all had great finishes the last two meets, according to Head Coach Ms. Allie Griffith. “We are also seeing great potential in three of our freshmen, Izzy Lyons, Ashlee Naaman and Ellie Barnes.” The girls finished fifth at the all-Catholic meet and fifth at the Terre Haute Invite.

Key upcoming events: The Shelbyville Golden Bear Invite is scheduled for Sept. 25 with the City meet on Oct 2.

Team goals: The team has managed to have many of its new runners set personal best times and has seen a lot of growth in the varsity runners at the all-Catholic meet. The team hopes to peak around post-season and to stay injury free. The girls have met to set goals for the remainder of the season. The Irish expect to compete with Bishop Chatard for the City title on Oct 2.

From Head Coach Ms. Allie Griffith: “These girls are resilient, focused and hungry for more opportunities to race their best this year. We are excited to see what they can do.”
