Seven students have earned recognition from the College Board for their academic achievements as reflected by their PSAT and/or Advanced Placement exam scores.

Students who have been honored in the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program are Antonio Arroyo, Ayrton Houk and Benjamin Jones.

Kiara Taylor, Nicholas Rodecap, Ramon Randolph and Sidney Woods have been named to the College Board National African American Recognition Program.

The College Board, which administers the PSAT and SAT, recognizes academic excellence through its National Recognition Programs. According to a statement from the College Board, “Students selected for this prestigious honor can cite it on their college and scholarship applications. Colleges use the honor as a way of identifying students from underrepresented groups.”

About the recognition for these seven students, Principal Mrs. Julie Barthel said, “I am extremely proud of these students and the hard work and preparation they put into achieving this distinction.”
