‘We the People’ hosts fundraiser
Team sets fundraiser dates for Jan. 27 and 28 at George’s Neighborhood Grill
After the We the People team won the State title, it haas earned a spot in the national competition. But, traveling to Washington. is expensive. Because each student’s expense comes to a total of $2,000, it is necessary to fundraise. Throughout the year, WTP students take part in several fundraisers. Students have been active in the phone-a-thon selling Shamrauction raffle Ttickets and even have a website accepting donations.
The link to that website is https://cathedral.networkforgood.com/projects/23527-2017-cathedral-we-the-people-journey-to-nationals.
While so far it is has been students earning the funds, now the community has a chance to give back and send this program to nationals for the second year in a row. George’s Neighborhood Grill will host the fundraiser at 6935 Lake Plaza Drive on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28. To contribute to WTP’s success, patrons only have to mention that they are there for the fundraiser and 15 percent of all sales will automatically go back to the trip to Washington.
