Guidelines for spring sports attendance released
Seating will be limited and masks will be required
As the baseball and softball seasons kick off their seasons on March 29, with the remaining spring sports soon to follow, Assistant Athletics Director Jason Delaney noted the procedures that will be in place for fans.
At Brunette Park, there will be a maximum seating capacity of 500 spectators for baseball and 300 for softball. In addition to the limited crowds, masks and social distancing will always be required, but there will be a full concession stand open at the park.
Softball games could always move to the turf field on campus due to weather conditions. That call will be made at 2 p.m. on the day of games.
Delaney said that on the day of every home game, he will send links to the students and staff with a coupon code to use for admission to all the games. He emphasized that all spectators will need a ticket for contract tracing purposes and that this link should not be forwarded or shared.
