Nine German students earn recognition

Honors are based on results from national exam on Jan. 29

Based on results from the National German Examination they took at school on Jan. 29, several students have earned honors, according to German teacher Mrs. Carol Heckman.

In Level 2, freshman Phillip Bernauer earned a Gold Award and freshman Micah Wasmuth received an Achievement Award.

In Level 4, senior Tom Kress won a Silver Award, with junior Matthew Fiedeldey and junior Claire Miller earning Bronze Awards and junior Hans Klemm, senior Emma Kress, senior Alex Pohl and sophomore Jasmine Zimmer earning Achievement Awards.

Heckman said, “These students excelled despite the challenges of the current school year by diligent preparation and earnest effort.”
