I believe the Chiefs will win on Feb. 7 to claim their second Lombardi Trophy in a row. I could argue on their behalf by simply saying “they have Patrick Mahomes,” and that goes a long way, but there’s more to the Chiefs than their superstar quarterback.

Head Coach Andy Reid has put together the Number-1 offense in the NFL with a plethora of talent on that side of the ball, with Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman and Clyde Edwards-Helaire to complement the talent of Mahomes.

With Mahomes, Kelce and Hill all healthy and playing, the Chiefs have a record of 27-3 over the last two seasons.

The defense is experienced, having 10 returning starters from last year’s Super Bowl victory. This Chiefs defense is ranked 10th in the NFL overall and fifth in interceptions, including two interceptions against Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady in their last contest.

Tampa also lost to the Chiefs earlier this year by a score of 27-24. In this loss they gave up 462 passing yards. Hill had seven catches for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter alone.

Since this loss the Buccaneers have won seven straight to put themselves in position for this rematch, blitzing opposing quarterbacks more than any other team. The Chiefs will likely use this to their advantage as Mahomes has the highest passer rating against the blitz of any quarterback in the league.

Their dominance goes beyond a singular year. We are not simply talking about them winning this Super Bowl, but looking beyond toward a dynasty that could last for years to come. This year, and for the next 10 years, I’m taking the Chiefs.
