Women’s basketball to host Lafayette Central Catholic
Irish will be without key players due to quarantine
Women’s basketball will host Lafayette Catholic Central on Dec. 12 in the Welch Activity Center, with the JV tipping off at noon and the varsity following at 1:30 p.m.
Central Catholic enters the game with a perfect 4-0 record while the Irish are 3-3.
“We will be missing a couple of key players due to IHSAA quarantine rules,” Head Coach Mrs. Lisa Finn said. “We will focus on playing hard and attacking with our post players. This will be a challenge for us as we handle some adversity coming into the game.”
While the Irish defeated Central Catholic last season, Finn said, “I don’t think our advantage is from winning last year. We are two very different teams and we are a very different team from last year. They are guard heavy and we are post heavy. It should be an interesting match up.”
Attendance at the game is limited to two tickets per player due to Covid-19 regulations mandated by the Marion County Health Department.
