Mothers Club uniform sale scheduled for Nov. 15
Event will raise funds to supply grants for teachers
With the last used uniform sale being so successful, the Mothers Club is hosting another event on Nov. 15.
Director of Philanthropic Engagement Mrs. Jean Smith ’97, who serves as the liaison between the school and the Mothers Club, said, “The back to school sale was so hugely successful, so we’re hosting another.” The Mothers Club regularly hosts these used uniform sales, and collects the money from them to use to support teacher grants.
While the sale is open to everyone, those highly encouraged to go are parents and grandparents of students and future students. “We share the information with the feeder schools’ admissions department, so they can share it with their students,” Smith said. Those in attendance will find polos, khakis, hoodies, crewnecks and spirit wear as well as college sweatshirts. Smith says that the college sweatshirts are typically donated by the previous year’s seniors after they’ve decided on a college. While they’re aren’t many in stock, she says there’s enough for them to sell.
The used uniform sale will be on Nov. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Welch Activity Center lobby.
