Werner finishes third in voting for Mr. Football
Linebacker and senior Pete Werner finished third in the IndyStar Mr. Football Indiana balloting with seven votes. Werner was named Mr. Football at the linebacker position. The four-star recruit tallied 65 tackles, including 17 behind the line of scrimmage. He also totaled eight sacks, three pass breakups and three forced fumbles. Werner racked up 109 career tackles and 19 tackles for loss. Werner recently rescinded his commitment to Notre Dame.
