Football team to sport new uniforms
Attire will feature Jordan logo, green numbers
Later this season, the football team will be sporting new uniforms.
Mr. Bill Peebles ’88, admissions liaison and head football coach, said, “It was time for us to get new whites, and BSN Sports came to us with in opportunity where we could get the Jordan uniform. We decided to make the investment and do it.”
The Jordan logo on uniforms is not common among high school football teams. “We are one of only two teams in the state of Indiana that will have the Jordan uniforms, and they are only about 100 (teams) in the country,” Peebles said.
The new uniforms also bring about a couple of firsts when it comes to football attire. Peebles said, “This is the first time that the uniform has ever had green numbers, and it is the first time in over 50 years that the varsity are wearing pants that are not gold, since we are going white on white.”
As for his overall view on the new uniforms, Peebles said, “They look good, and the players seem to really like them, too.”
