Mission Mondays allow for time for more cleaning
Chief operating officer describes staff’s efforts
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, although Covid-19 transmission occurs largely through respiratory droplets, “cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces” is a “best practice measure for prevention” and highly recommended for any community.
In addition to a new plan that brought us Mission Mondays, new cleaning measures are being taken to add more preventative measures such as those recommended by the CDC.
Chief Operating Officer Mr. Rolly Landeros said in an email that the deep cleans are about addressing what he called “the details of a classroom.” He wrote that staff members will be “dusting, sweeping, mopping and providing a layer of cleaning disinfectant on high contact surfaces.”
Cleaning starts at 4 p.m. and can continue until midnight, depending on location and room availability. Landeros also wrote that even after events such as standardized tests take place over the weekend, “rooms are sprayed and disinfected by the room moderator, similar to the teacher in the classroom after each period. The amount of disinfectant applied is ample to kill any viruses on high contact surfaces.”
