Moderator reminds seniors of yearbook quote deadline

Content should be appropriate, professional

Senior quotes are due Nov. 15.

Submissions for senior quotes are due Nov. 15, according to yearbook faculty moderator Mr. Tony Willis.

The Senior Class received an email from Willis on Oct. 28. That email included a link to the form for submitting the quote. Use that form rather than emailing Willis directly. However, if seniors have questions about the content of their quote, they may contact him at [email protected]

Meeting the Nov. 15 deadline helps the yearbook staff meets its production schedule with the yearbook publisher, Willis said.

Willis noted that most high schools in Indiana and across the country have done away with senior quotes, but the tradition remains at this school. The yearbook moderator said, “Some schools have had issues with inappropriate comments being submitted.”

In order for this tradition to continue, Willis said it is important that this year’s seniors submit a quote that is appropriate. “You should be comfortable with your grandmother reading your quote now,” he said, “and your children reading your quote 25 years from now.”
