The senior bash, a celebration for Cathedral seniors only, has been moved to March 14. There will be no school the following day due to the St. Patrick’s Day parade. The dance will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Shiel Student Life Center.

Originally, the senior bash date was changed due to the possibility of the men’s basketball team moving on in the Sectional and playing on the original date of the event, March 1. While the team did lose on Feb. 26, the event will not be moved back to the original date.

Many seniors are expecting this event to be a great time to be shared with whom they have spent for almost four years.

Senior Jordan Owsley explained that his enthusiasm comes from the sense of togetherness that will be present. “I think that this will be a great time for the whole Senior Class to come together and be a family,” said Owsley. “I’m most excited for when they play the song ‘Mo Bamba’ because I think it’s a great song that we can all have fun to.”

Senior Sam Phillips maintained the idea that this dance could bring the Class of 2019 together. Phillips said, “I’m just excited to have a great time with my fellow seniors. There’s not much of a better way to go out than having fun with those that you’ve known for so long.”

The admission fee of $5 may be paid at the door.
