For the sixth consecutive year, Congressman Andre Carson is hosting an annual job and opportunities fair.

For the sixth year in a row, young people and their families will be able to learn about jobs, programs and resources at the Youth Opportunities Fair hosted by Congressman André Carson.

The fair will run from noon to 7 p.m. on March 11 at the Central Library. Ms. Katherine Souchet-Downey, immigration and grants liaison, hopes that people of all ages will attend the fair to learn about some of the opportunities that are available. “The purpose of this event is to promote jobs, programs and resources available to Indianapolis young people and their families,” Souchet-Downey wrote in in email.

Anyone attending will have the chance not only to learn about jobs, but maybe even get on payroll. “Over 70 nonprofits and businesses offering opportunities for working and non working youth will be featured at this year’s event,” Souchet-Downey said. Professional skills learning sessions will also be offered to introduce or further educate attendees in how to work professionally.

Participants should dress to impress and just need to bring a pen, paper and a resume to give themselves the best experience and get the most out of this fair.
