Nov. 1 Mass creates schedule change

Days 1 and 2 to flip on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2

Just as they did earlier in the year, students will gather in the Welch Activity Center on Nov. 1 for the All Saints’ Day Mass.

Because of All Saints’ Day on Nov. 1, the schedule for Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 will be flipped. Nov. 1 will be a Day 2, with Mass in the Welch Activity Center from 1:10 to 2:10. Nov. 2, the second day of the seven-day cycle, will be Day 1. All Saints’ Day is a day of obligation for Catholics.

According to catholic.org: “All Saints’ Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on Nov. 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls’ Day, which is observed on Nov. 2, and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.”
